FITC Toronto 2015 : Interactive Installation

Tying in with FITC Toronto’s theme of evolution, Leviathan created an installation that immerses visitors in a dynamic interactive world, while implementing FITC’s themed elements, resulting in a customized ambient experiment.

Upon entering the conference, visitors see their digital reflections emerge on a massive projection screen in the conference lobby. Using custom algorithms and 3D camera technology, visitors’ images are captured and transformed into dimensional geometry––the paths of their tracked movement creating a visual pattern that contributes to a larger, one-of-a-kind visual composition that evolves throughout the duration of the conference. This evolution of the animated banner unfolds organically as the visual system grows with each visitor’s contribution.
