10 DOS Games That Turned Me Into a PC Gamer

Did you grow up playing games on MS DOS? Do you remember installing games in DOS and not Windows? Remember setting conventional and extended memory to get a dos game running? 😀

This video shows 10 of my favourite DOS games from back in the day. I got my first real PC in 1993, a classic Packard Bell 486. The games that were coming out back then were mind blowing to an 11 year old boy.

These 10 games were captured using DOS box which has its pro’s and con’s. On the plus side, I could get Wings of Glory working and could also run Fields of Glory and FX Fighter at the correct speeds. On the negative side, there are some visual and sound glitches apparent in some game footage.

I enjoyed making this video this week. It’s definitely been the most ambitious one I’ve made so far. Hope you enjoyed it!
